Originally from Canada, via the United Kingdom, I’m delighted to now be part of the Mission Equine team in sunny Santa Barbara.

I earned a Bsc(Hons.) in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh in 2011, followed by a degree in veterinary medicine from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2015.

I have ridden horses since I was a child and began working with horses as a teenager. As a veterinary student, I had the privilege of working with the military horses and veterinarians of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment in London, which inspired me to pursue a career as an equine veterinarian.

After qualifying, I spent two years working in mixed practice in Norfolk, England, followed by small animal and equine locum positions in Berkshire and London. In 2018, I joined Emerson & Watson Equine Veterinary Surgeons, an ambulatory equine practice in Ascot, where I spent six years caring for polo ponies, sport horses, and leisure horses. In 2024, I began working at Mission Equine Associates on a seasonal basis, returning to the UK in the spring of 2025 to work as the Club Veterinarian and Welfare Officer at Guards Polo Club.

Now based in Santa Barbara, I look forward to becoming part of the local equestrian community. My professional interests include sports medicine, behavior, acupuncture, and a biomechanical approach to training and rehabilitation. I am currently pursuing ISELP Certification.
